Founded in 1974, the Foster City Tennis Club is a Community Tennis organization sponsored by the City of Foster City Parks and Recreation Department and is open to interested tennis players of all levels. Home of the USTA 2006 7.0 Mixed Doubles National Champions and USTA 2008 7.0 Mixed Doubles NorCal Champions; the club currently has over 300 members. The club, which plays on tennis courts throughout Foster City, offers a variety of events including USTA league teams, social mixers, and Summer and Winter social parties.  The Foster City Tennis Club was the past home to the the Peninsula Challenge Cup, a USTA-sanctioned tennis tournament.
